Happy Easter 2025!
On turning the other cheek, loving your enemies, and atoning for the sins of mankind
My last post was about getting unceremoniously 86ed by the ever-jolly Roman Catholic innkeepers of Abbey Kloster Disentis, a Benedictine monastery in Switzerland, seemingly on account of my insufficiently PC reputation.
It strikes me that the most appropriate follow-up would be to give the militant monks and unfriendly friars of Kloster Disentis something they can really virtue-signal about!

Murder victim's father intercedes for son's killer
This is Easter Sunday. Long live the Christian spirit of love and sacrifice! But there's a caveat: too many people, including the father of recent murder victim Austin Metcalf, have misinterpreted certain aspects of the bible - turning the other cheek, loving one's enemies, and Jesus letting himself be crucified to atone for the sins of man - in cowardly and counterproductive ways.
